Class 3/4S

Hello and welcome to Class 3/4S' page!

I am Miss Lockett, and I am our class teacher. Our fantastic teaching assistant is Miss Unsworth, who supports the children in class daily. The children are also taught French and RE weekly by Mrs Birch.

Here in Year 3/4, throughout the year, we learn about three influential characters. We have made an amazing start to the year by immersing ourselves in the life of Cheddar Man and learning about the Stone Age. We can’t wait to start learning about the Tudors and the Ancient Greeks in the coming terms. The children produce amazing work that they should be very proud of. We thoroughly enjoy reading and love to set ourselves reading challenges. We read a range of books in class, such as Rhythm of the Rain, Stig of the Dump and The Journey, to name a few. We also read independently daily and answer questions on what we have read using Accelerated Reading. We also love to read for pleasure and enjoy sharing our thoughts on a book with our peers and writing book reviews.
