School Council

School Council Mission Statement
Our School Council wants to share our ideas and feelings and create opportunities for everyone to enjoy.
We will look after our school and spread kindness and happiness, making Elton a safe place for everyone.
At the beginning of each academic year, Elton’s school councillors are chosen.
Each child is given the opportunity to vote for the person in their class, that they would like to be the class representative.
At Elton we believe young children should have a say. A school council is a way for the children to have a voice on issues which affect their lives.
Welcome to Elton’s School Council.
We are proud to have 18 enthusiastic School Council representatives from Years 1 to 6, all dedicated to making Elton Primary School the best it can be. The School Council gives pupils a strong voice and the opportunity to play an active role in improving our school. Council members help to develop and promote our school’s ethos by ensuring our values and beliefs are part of everyday life. They do this by sharing ideas from their classes, helping to organise events and fundraising activities, and working with staff to make positive changes that benefit everyone in our school community.
